The External panel type lets you embed external HTML resources into your Chronosphere Observability Platform dashboards by adding a URL, which embeds that resource in an iframe. To create an External panel or learn more about the configuration options common to all panels, see Panels.

Embed an external source into a panel

To embed an external source into a panel:
  1. Edit the External panel.
  2. Click the External tab.
  3. In the URL field, type or paste the URL to embed.
  4. Optional. Set the Embed dimensions to control the Static height and Static width of the embedded item. Measurement is in pixels (px).
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click Save to save the dashboard changes.
To make the iframe dynamic, use dashboard variables.
