Install Telemetry Pipeline on Ubuntu Server Linux

You can install Chronosphere Telemetry Pipeline on Ubuntu Server Linux and other Debian-based distributions.

Telemetry Pipeline is compatible with these distributions and versions:

Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTSx86_64, ARM64
Ubuntu Server 22.04 LTSx86_64, ARM64

Prerequisites

Complete the following steps before you begin:

Install Telemetry Pipeline

To install Telemetry Pipeline:

  1. Review the Telemetry Pipeline installation prerequisites.

  2. Run the following command to download and install local files for Telemetry Pipeline:

    curl -sSfL https://core-packages.calyptia.com/install-core.sh | bash
  3. Follow the steps in the Deploy a Core Instance guide to deploy a Core Instance. In step four of that guide, choose Virtual Machine as your environment.

    If you're using custom certificates or your own certificate authority, add the --no-tls-verify flag to the install script.

After you've created a Core Instance, you can configure its behavior and begin to route telemetry data.
