Create an incident.io notifier

To create an incident.io notifier, configure an alert source in incident.io and then create a webhook notifier in Chronosphere Observability Platform.

Create an alert in indicent.io

Before creating an incident.io notifier in Observability Platform, you must configure an alert source in indicent.io.

To configure an alert source:

In incident.io, go to Alerts (opens in a new tab).
On the Alerts page, click the Sources tab.
Click New alert source.
In the search box, enter Chronosphere to locate the Chronosphere alert source.
Enter a name for the alert source such as ** alerts**, and then click Continue to create the alert source.

Next, create an incident.io notifier in Observability Platform.

After creating an alert source in incident.io, you can create a notifier in Observability Platform.

To create an incident.io notifier:

In the navigation menu select Alerts > Notifiers.
Click Create notifier.
Enter a descriptive name for the notifier, such as incident.io.
Select Webhook as the type of notifier you want to create.
In the URL field, enter the URL from your incident.io dashboard, which is called as a POST request. For example:

https://incident-io-my-url/api/public/v2/alert_events/chronosphere/01HZKELEKAMDNE8D9FNEKD
```
Click Save.

After creating your notifier, you can create a notification policy that uses the incident.io notifier you created.

When you create a monitor in Observability Platform, select the incident.io notification policy to send alerts from incident.io to Observability Platform.
