Install Telemetry Pipeline using the web interface

You can use the Chronosphere Telemetry Pipeline UI (opens in a new tab) to create new Core Instances configurations for your Kubernetes clusters.

To upgrade existing deployments, see Upgrade Core Operator and Core Instance.

Create a new Core Instance

  1. Review the Telemetry Pipeline installation prerequisites.

  2. Sign in to the Telemetry Pipeline web interface (opens in a new tab).

  3. Navigate to Core Instances. If you have any existing Core Instances, click New Instance. If this is your first time creating a Core Instance, the Add New Instance screen appears.

  4. Click Change to switch between the Kubernetes and Virtual Machine environments.

  5. Follow the installation and validation instructions for your selected environment:

    You can use the Pipeline CLI to create a Core Instance.

    Copy the command from the window, paste it into your terminal, and then run it.

  6. When the commands complete, the Core Instance page populates with the newly configured instance. Click Next.

  7. Telemetry Pipeline validates the Core Instance. When validation completes, click Next.

After you've created a Core Instance, you can configure its behavior and begin to route telemetry data.

Add pipeline files or secrets

To add pipeline files or secrets to your Core Instance, go to the Advanced Settings menu.

Edit a Core Instance

Use the following steps to edit existing core instances.

  1. Sign in to the Telemetry Pipeline web interface (opens in a new tab).
  2. Navigate to Core Instances, and then select the Core Instance to edit.
  3. Click Edit icon and make the required changes.
  4. Click Next. A confirmation screen appears. Click Next.

You're returned to the Core Instance's page.

Delete a Core Instance

Use the following steps to delete existing core instances.

  1. Sign in to the Telemetry Pipeline web interface (opens in a new tab).
  2. Navigate to Core Instances.
  3. Next to the Core Instance you want to delete, click the three horizontal dots icon, and then click Delete.
